Margaret Spacapan's work separates strictly functional objects from their intended use and translates them into glass as a way of divorcing them from their intended function and viewing them in a purely aesthetic way. She shows her work locally at Pittsburgh Glass Center and Morgan Contemporary Glass Gallery as well as at national venues such as Chautauqua Institution.
